The significance of an accurate translation in business has been proven time and again in practise. For those who read it, a good translation provides accurate facts, figures and messages. Decisions and assessments are sometimes made, policies established and conclusions drawn with a translation in hand. Stating that entire company policies actually depend on translations would be taking their significance too far, but they certainly play an important role in situations where boards, management, and/or operational teams consist of members with either, in our case, a Dutch or English (spoken) nationality. An accurate and well-presented translation also reflects the levels of effort and professionalism maintained by the provider and prevents confusion or even conflict from arising between the parties involved.

One of the problems we commonly encounter in making business translations is the sub-standard use of grammar and language by the authors of the original texts. Surprisingly, yet understandably, many company officials and executives find composing a compelling and linguistically sound text a daunting task, often resulting in unclear and sometimes even confusing texts. They know exactly which message needs to be conveyed and the style it requires, but need help with the right formulation. For us this means being able to do much more than translate; it means being able to write creatively for specific audiences in both Dutch and English. It also means being able to improvise within the framework of rules and customs that apply to any given line of business. In fact, this aspect of translating is what adds a pleasant challenge to our work.
Although most of our translations are used for 'regular' purposes, we are also fully qualified to certify them in accordance with the appropriate legislation (sworn translations). We are registered with the Bbtv (Registry for Sworn Translators and Interpreters) in 's Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands, which falls directly under the competence of the Netherlands Legal Aid Council.
Among the fields in which we commonly provide (certified) business translations are:
Marketing and PR, Finance, Banking, Environment, Websites, Catalogues, Contracts, Agreements, Education/Training, Legal, Product Description, Industry (general/specific), Technology, Real Estate & Property, etc.
